Bridgewater Housing Association Limited has been our managing agent since 2001. The Association has ultimate legal responsibility for Care & Repair and provides the necessary financial, managerial and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the Care & Repair services.
Renfrewshire Council have been funding Care & Repair since inception in 1987. We have long established and successful relationships with many council colleagues, particularly in Housing & Property Services, Trading Standards and Social Work.
Care & Repair expanded its services to East Renfrewshire in 1998/99. East Renfrewshire Council have been fully supportive and continued to increase their funding contributions. We work very closely with our colleagues in the Housing Service and Social Work Departments.
We commenced a new 3 year contract with Inverclyde Council on 1 April 2019.  Having transferred several staff members from the previous managing agent (Cloch HA) this allowed continuation of the excellent relationships already established.

Care & Repair Scotland is the national coordinating body for Care & Repair officers in Scotland. With funding from the Scottish Government, the Forum assists the development of Care & Repair in Scotland through training, advice, information and support as well as promoting Care & Repair nationally.

East Renfrewshire Good Causes (ERGC) is a local charity operating within the geographical boundary of East Renfrewshire.  They provide grants and get involved in fundraising for deserving cases, in a street near you in ER.

They try to “Love our Neighbour”, whether rich or poor, as a way of honouring the memory of the sadly deceased organ donor, whose 2 organs (pancreas/kidney) live on inside the ERGC founders body, and try to help people in need of a bit of compassion.

Police Scotland Care & Repair works in Partnership with Police Scotland to help older people feel more secure in their homes. Crime Prevention Officers carry out surveys for victims of crime and those who feel vulnerable and Care & Repair follow up by supplying and fitting security products.
Care & Repair refer clients to the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service who carry out home fire safety visits and provide advice, information and free smoke alarms if required. In turn, referrals are made to Care & Repair where it is identified that repairs are required during the course of their visits.
If you’re not sure who to turn to about help on health and wellbeing for yourself or a loved one, in one call to Talking Points you can reach over sixty organisations who work together to help you get the information you need quickly, so you can live your life to the fullest.  Care & Repair are an “official Talking Points partner.” This service is available to East Renfrewshire residents.
Energy Saving Trust The Energy Saving Trust is one of Scotland and the UK’s leading impartial organisations helping people save energy and reduce carbon emissions. It provides expert insight, knowledge and advice about energy saving, supports people to take action and helps local authorities and communities to save energy. The Energy Saving Trust is organised as a social enterprise with charitable status. The Energy Saving Trust’s work in Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government.
Age Scotland latest Age Scotland aims to help older people present a unified and effective voice and to reduce the challenges facing them in later life. The Scottish Helpline for Older People, managed and operated by Age Scotland, provides information and support on issues such as pensions, benefits, tax, housing choices, health ageing and home safety.
